The Amsterdam Open Garden Days

The Canal Museums of Amsterdam present the Open Garden Days 2010.
In the third weekend of June some 25 ­most private­ gardens will be open to the public, some of them for the first time.

The gardens, hidden behind the stately facades and canals of Amsterdam, are true oases of peace and greenery. Many of them designed by renowned architects. This weekend everyone is able to experience these gardens of Eden.

Opening hours: Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June, 10 AM to 5 PM
Entrance fee: passe-partout € 15 (all proceeds for this event will go to charity)
Retail and starting adresses: Biblical Museum, Herengracht 366-368; Huis Marseille, Keizersgracht 401; Museum Van Loon, Keizersgracht 672, Museum Willet-Holthuysen, Herengracht 605. The passe-partout states all garden addresses with a short description. On all three Open Garden Days, a boat will take passe-partout holders to some of the venues.

N.B. Most gardens regretfully are not accessible to wheel chairs and perambulators. Dogs are not allowed.
